Meta Quest 2 Active Pack

Overview

The Meta Quest 2 Active Pack is Meta's fitness accessory kit for the Meta Quest 2. Meta announced it in October 2022, and it went on sale on October 25, 2022 at $69.99. It fell to $59.99 in January 2024 and to $29.99 in April 2024, which is the US Meta Store price today. The box contains a wipeable facial interface, a pair of wrist straps and a pair of adjustable knuckle straps.

Design and specs

The facial interface replaces the stock foam one. Meta lists it as PU over foam on a plastic frame, so you can wipe off sweat after a workout. It measures 165 x 100 x 105 mm and weighs 50 g. The knuckle straps let you open your hand during play without the controllers falling. Meta lists their materials as a metal anchor loop, a plastic battery door and a fabric strap, at 20 g. Each strap is 120 mm long folded and 290 mm unfolded.

Compatibility

Meta lists the Active Pack as compatible with the Meta Quest 2 only. The straps are made for the Quest 2 Touch controllers, and the facial interface is made for the Quest 2's face opening. Meta does not list the kit for the Meta Quest 3, the Meta Quest 3S or the Meta Quest Pro, which use different controllers and facial interfaces.

Setup and use

You swap the facial interface by pulling the stock one off the headset and pressing the new one into place. The pack includes its own wrist straps, and the knuckle straps tighten around the back of each hand. Meta says the straps connect for added security, so the controllers stay put in fast games. Meta says you can wipe sweat and dirt off the facial interface after each use and get straight back to playing.

Who it is for

The pack suits Quest 2 owners who use fitness apps or fast action games and want a facial interface they can wipe clean and a firmer grip on the controllers. Meta stopped selling the Quest 2 headset in early 2025, so it is mainly for existing owners. If you only need better face fit, the Meta Quest 2 Fit Pack is cheaper.
