- Weight
- 92 g
Overview
The Razer Facial Interface for Meta Quest 3 replaces the headset's stock face cushion. Razer launched it on May 3, 2024 at $69.99, together with the Razer Adjustable Head Strap System, in the US, Canada and Europe. It is part of Meta's "Made for Meta" program and was co-designed with ResMed, a company known for CPAP masks, which Razer describes as human factors experts with over 30 years of facial interface experience. It is a Quest 3 version of the facial interface Razer released for the Meta Quest 2 in 2023.
Design and specs
The interface uses ultra-thin, textured membranes that Razer says float on the surface of your face and spread the weight to reduce pressure. It is made of hypoallergenic silicone, free of latex and PU/TPE additives, to reduce skin irritation. Vents let air through while the shape blocks outside light. The surface has no crevices, so it is easy to wipe clean. Meta lists the size as 170 x 110 x 100 mm, the weight as 92 g and the colour as black.
Compatibility
Meta and Razer list the Meta Quest 3 only. Razer's FAQ states that the facial interface is not compatible with the Meta Quest 3S, even though the matching head strap is. Razer says the interface fits Meta's first-party Quest 3 charging dock, so you can leave it on while the headset charges.
Setup and use
You remove the stock facial interface and clip the Razer part into its place. Razer publishes an installation video on its product page. The box contains the facial interface and an important product information guide. It can be used alone or with the Razer head strap; Razer sold both separately or as a bundle at launch.
Who it is for
This interface is for Quest 3 owners who find the stock cushion uncomfortable over long sessions, react to foam, or want a surface that is easy to clean between users. Silicone can feel tacky in hot, sweaty sessions, which UploadVR noted on the Quest 2 version. On October 31, 2026 meta.com showed "Notify me" instead of a buy button, and Razer's US store listed only the Quest 2 version, so stock may be limited.
