Razer Adjustable Head Strap System for Meta Quest 3/3S

Overview

The Razer Adjustable Head Strap System for Meta Quest 3/3S replaces the headset's stock fabric strap. Razer launched it on May 3, 2024 at $69.99 in the US, Canada and Europe, together with the Razer Facial Interface for Meta Quest 3. It is part of the "Made for Meta" program and was co-designed with ResMed, which Razer describes as human factors experts with over 30 years of experience. It follows the head strap Razer made for the Meta Quest 2 in 2023.

Design and specs

The strap is made of high-performance nylon. Razer says it calculated the ideal angle for each strap so that it applies minimal force on different head shapes. Soft straps adjust for a snug fit and leave room for a variety of hairstyles, and the system spreads the headset's weight for better balance during active play. After the first adjustment it slips on like a cap. Meta lists the size as 110 x 200 x 40 mm, the colour as black and the weight as 250 g. Razer does not publish a weight for this version; its Quest 2 strap is rated at 70 g.

Compatibility

Meta lists the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. Razer's FAQ confirms the head strap works on Quest 3S, but the matching facial interface does not. Razer also says the Quest 3 accessories fit Meta's first-party Quest 3 charging dock, so the strap can stay on while the headset charges.

Setup and use

You remove the stock strap and attach the Razer strap in its place. Razer has an installation video on its product page. The fit is set with hook-and-loop tabs, and you put the headset on by sliding the strap over the back of your head first. The box contains the head strap and an important product information guide. It has no battery and no audio of its own.

Who it is for

This strap suits Quest 3 and Quest 3S owners who want a lighter, softer alternative to rigid straps such as the Meta Quest Elite Strap, or who wear their hair up. In UploadVR's review of the Quest 2 version, the soft design held well side to side but moved more with fast up and down head motion than a rigid strap. On October 31, 2026 the meta.com product page showed "Notify me", and Razer's US store did not list this version, so stock may be limited.
