Razer Adjustable Head Strap System for Meta Quest 2

by Razer

Razer's 70 g nylon replacement head strap for Meta Quest 2, co-designed with ResMed, with three hook-and-loop tabs and a cap-like slip-on fit.

Weight
70 g

Overview

The Razer Adjustable Head Strap System for Meta Quest 2 and a matching facial interface were Razer's first VR accessories for Meta Quest. Razer announced both at CES in January 2023, and they went on sale in the US in March 2023 at $69.99 each. It is officially authorized by Meta and was co-designed with ResMed, which Razer describes as human factors experts with over 30 years of experience. Razer later made a version for the Quest 3 and Quest 3S.

Design and specs

The straps are a nylon textile laminate and the clips are polycarbonate ABS. Razer lists the size as 215 x 200 x 175 mm and the weight as 70 g, which Meta's store matches. Razer says each strap's angle was calculated to apply minimal force on any head shape, and the stretchy build spreads the headset's weight to cut pressure points. There is no rear dial, battery or audio.

Compatibility

Razer states that the strap and facial interface are compatible only with the Meta Quest 2, and Meta lists Quest 2 as the only headset. It does not fit the Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S; those headsets need the separate Razer Adjustable Head Strap System for Meta Quest 3/3S.

Setup and use

You swap out the stock strap and set the fit once with three hook-and-loop tabs, two at the sides and one on top. After that you put the headset on like a baseball cap, cupping the back of your head first and then lowering the headset over your face. UploadVR found it quick to fit, comfortable and much less bulky than a rigid strap, but less stable than the official Elite Strap during fast up and down head movement. The box holds the head strap and a product information guide.

Who it is for

This strap suits Quest 2 owners who want a lighter, softer and more portable upgrade over the stock strap, or who wear their hair up. Players who want maximum stability for fast games may prefer a rigid strap. It was still sold at $69.99 on meta.com and Razer.com on October 31, 2026, and Razer also offers it in a $139.98 bundle with the facial interface.
