PowerA Travel Bag for Meta Quest 3 and 3S

Overview

The PowerA Travel Bag for Meta Quest 3 and 3S is a soft shoulder bag for carrying a Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S with its controllers. PowerA announced it in October 2024 as one of four Made for Meta accessories for the Quest 3 family, ahead of the Quest 3S launch. It costs $49.99 on the Meta store and on PowerA's own site, and PowerA says it is officially licensed by Meta.

Design and specs

Inside, a molded storage tray and elastic straps hold the headset and controllers in place. The bag closes with a flap and zippers to keep out dust and dirt. A padded pocket on the back panel holds small extras such as earbuds and cables. The shoulder strap is adjustable and removable, so you can wear the bag over one shoulder, across your body, or carry it without the strap. The box also includes a microfiber cleaning cloth and a cleaning brush pen. The bag is black. Meta lists it at 330 x 235 x 150 mm and 765 g. PowerA gives the same size but a weight of 0.69 kg. PowerA covers it with a 2-year limited warranty.

Compatibility

Meta and PowerA list the bag for the Quest 3 and Quest 3S only. It is not listed for the Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro. Neither page says whether the tray takes a headset fitted with an Elite Strap or a battery strap, so check before you rely on it with a third-party strap. The headset, controllers and other accessories are not included.

Use

You lay the headset in the molded tray, secure it and the controllers with the elastic straps, and zip the flap shut. Cables, a charger or earbuds go in the padded back pocket. The cloth and brush pen live in the same pocket, so you can clean the lenses and dust off the headset when you arrive.

Who it is for

This bag suits Quest 3 and Quest 3S owners who want something lighter and softer than a hard case, and who like a shoulder strap. It costs less than Meta's own $69.99 Carrying Case for Meta Quest 3/3S. People who want hard-shell protection, or room for an Elite Strap, may prefer one of Meta's cases.
