Meta Quest Pro VR Earphones

Overview

The Meta Quest Pro VR Earphones are Meta's official in-ear earphones for the Meta Quest Pro. They were announced with the headset on October 11, 2022 and shipped on October 25, 2022 at $49.99. The US Meta Store still lists them at $49.99. They give more isolation than the headset's built-in open-ear speakers, which let in more outside sound.

Design and specs

The earphones use dual drivers, which Meta says give its widest dynamic range yet, and in-ear tips that cut out background noise. The left and right earphones are separate, each with a cable cut to an optimized length and a cable clip, so no cable hangs in front of you. The box contains the left and right earphones, eartips in three sizes, a quick start guide and a safety and warranty guide. Meta lists them at 93 x 45 x 25 mm and 8 g, in black.

Compatibility

Meta lists the earphones as compatible with the Meta Quest Pro only. Meta's help center says the separate right and left earphones connect to either side of the headset, and that they work with the Quest Pro light blocking accessories in place. Meta does not list them for the Meta Quest 2, the Meta Quest 3 or the Meta Quest 3S.

Setup and use

You plug each earphone into its side of the headset and clip the cable along the strap. Choose the eartip size that seals best, since the seal provides most of the noise isolation. Meta says other earphones also work with Quest Pro, but these are tuned for VR audio and cable management.

Who it is for

The earphones suit Quest Pro owners who play or work in noisy places, or who want private audio without leaking sound to people nearby. Meta stopped selling the Quest Pro in January 2025, so they are only useful if you already own the headset. Owners of other Quest headsets need different audio accessories.
