Incase Carry Case for Meta Quest Pro

Overview

The Incase Carry Case for Meta Quest Pro is the official travel case for the Meta Quest Pro. Meta announced it on October 11, 2022 as one of four Quest Pro accessories, and it shipped on October 25, 2022, the headset's launch day. It cost $119.95 at launch and the Meta store still lists it at $119.95. Incase designed and built it, and also sold it on its own site.

Design and specs

The case has a compression-molded EVA outer shell covered in durable nylon, with an abrasion-resistant zipper and a carry handle. Inside, a custom-fit inner shell with interior pockets holds the headset and accessories. Meta lists it at 368.3 x 304.8 x 127 mm and 1,065.9 g, in black. The box contains only the case. Meta calls the outer shell lightweight, but the case still weighs just over 1 kg empty.

Compatibility

Meta lists the case for the Quest Pro only. Its help center says the case carries the Quest Pro headset along with the controllers and charging accessories that come in the box. That means the Touch Pro controllers and the charging dock and cables that ship with the Quest Pro. The inner shell is shaped around the Quest Pro, so it is not listed for the Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S or Meta Quest 2. Those headsets have their own Meta cases.

Use

You set the headset into its moulded cavity, the controllers into their cradle and the charging parts into the pockets, then zip the shell shut. In a December 2022 review, Inverse found that the charging dock and cables fit in the lid pocket and that the case also takes the magnetic light blockers. The same review noted that there is no spare room for anything beyond what the Quest Pro needs.

Who it is for

The case is for Quest Pro owners who travel with the headset or take it between home and office and want hard-shell protection for all of the in-box gear. It is expensive for a case. Incase's US online store no longer shows the product, so the Meta store is now the main official place to buy it.
