Walk the Plank is a plank-walking simulation from GameDigits Ltd. You step out onto a thin board high above a realistic city and find out whether your legs cooperate. The developer pitches it as an ideal first experience for showing off a new headset. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on December 24, 2024.

How it plays

The planks are set on top of the One Astor Plaza skyscraper in New York City and on London's Big Ben. The store page says three environments are included, with more being added.

There are six plank types to try:

  • Wood Plank
  • Glass Plank
  • Metal Grate
  • The Pole
  • Red Light Green Light
  • Roulette

It is meant to be passed around among friends and family, so everyone can laugh as the height gets to them. The developer says it set out to build the most realistic plank simulator it could on current Quest hardware.

Comfort

Meta gives it a moderate comfort rating, so it suits some players more than others. It supports room-scale play and is played with Touch controllers or hand tracking. Heights can cause strong reactions. The developer asks all players to read the in-game EULA and safety guidelines before walking the plank, and you should play in a clear space.
