Don't Forget the Chute is a free simulation of the classic VR plank walk from BloodCatters. You go up a building and step out onto a plank over the drop. The developer offers it as a free alternative to pricier games of the same type. It is distributed through SideQuest, where it was first listed in October 2025.

How it plays

The developer describes it as a fall experience to share with friends and family, which makes it a natural first demo for someone new to VR. The main menu includes a how-to-play section, and the controls are simple:

• Menus: point at a button and pull the trigger, the button under your index finger.
• Elevator: press its button physically with your controller, as you would a real one, or use the grip button.

The game is about standing at a great height, so it can be intense for anyone with a fear of heights. If you choose to walk physically, the developer asks that you make sure your surroundings are safe and that someone is supervising you.
