Logitech G PRO Gaming Headset for Meta Quest 2

by Logitech

Logitech G's wired over-ear PRO headset with a custom-length cable for Meta Quest 2, using 50 mm PRO-G drivers and memory foam leatherette pads.

Weight
320 g

Overview

The Logitech G PRO Gaming Headset for Meta Quest 2 is a wired over-ear headset based on Logitech's PRO esports headset. Logitech announced it on September 16, 2020, alongside the Oculus Quest 2, as an Oculus Ready accessory at $99.99. Meta still sells it at $100 for the Meta Quest 2. Logitech's US product page has been removed, but its South African site still lists the headset.

Design and specs

The headset uses hybrid mesh PRO-G 50 mm drivers with neodymium magnets, a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, 35 ohm impedance and 91.7 dB SPL sensitivity. The fork is aluminum and the headband is steel, and the ear and head pads are memory foam wrapped in leatherette. The closed earpads give passive noise isolation rather than active noise cancellation. Meta lists the weight as 320 g without the cable and the size as 138 x 94 x 195 mm. Meta's spec sheet also lists a 6 mm cardioid electret microphone, but its in-the-box list names only the headset.

Compatibility

Meta lists the Quest 2 as the only compatible headset. Logitech describes it as the official over-ear audio solution for Quest 2. It is not listed for the Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S. Meta's spec sheet also mentions a 2 m PC cable and a 120 mm PC splitter.

Setup and use

The headset connects to the Quest 2's 3.5 mm audio jack with a custom-length Oculus Ready cable, which Logitech says keeps extra cable out of your way. Logitech says the wired 3.5 mm connection keeps latency low. There is no battery to charge.

Who it is for

This headset suits Quest 2 owners who want full-size, isolating headphones and do not mind a short cable, for example for rhythm or shooter games. Its 320 g adds weight to your head, and it does not block outside noise as well as active noise cancelling earbuds. Owners of newer Quest headsets should check Meta's current audio accessories instead.
