Logitech Chorus for Meta Quest 2

Overview

Logitech Chorus is an off-ear audio attachment for the Meta Quest 2. Logitech announced it on August 17, 2022 at $99.99. It is a "Made for Meta" product and was designed only for Quest 2. Logitech does not list it for the Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S, and it has no Quest 3 version on its site. The Logitech G store now shows it as not available, while meta.com still sells it at $99.99 as the Logitech Chorus VR Off-Ear Audio for Meta Quest 2.

Design and specs

Chorus places two speakers on arms next to your ears instead of on them. Logitech uses two custom-tuned open-type drivers, which it describes as BMR drivers, each 47.4 x 20.3 mm, with an integrated DSP for dynamic audio optimization. Nothing touches your ears, so they stay cool and you can still hear the room around you. The unit weighs 182 g. To mute, you rotate the speakers up and out of the way, and you rotate them back down to listen again.

Compatibility

Logitech says Chorus attaches to all three Meta Quest 2 strap options. Meta lists Quest 2 as the only compatible headset. Logitech built it around the Quest 2 alone, so it should not be bought for other headsets.

Setup and use

Chorus slides onto the strap and plugs into the headset through USB-C. It has no battery of its own. A USB-C passthrough port lets you keep a power cable attached, so you can charge the headset or watch long videos without removing the audio unit. Logitech says it stays in place and never needs to be taken off or unplugged. Meta lists the Chorus unit and a USB-C cable in the box.

Who it is for

Chorus suits Quest 2 owners who want bigger, clearer sound than the built-in speakers without earbuds or closed headphones, for example during fitness apps or long sessions. Quest 3 and Quest 3S owners should look at other audio options, because this model does not fit those headsets.
