Crawlspace is a free VR horror game where you crawl through a dark crawlspace over five nights to recover a man's missing dolls.
Crawlspace is a free horror adventure from Kiririn Games, published under the Kiririn name. It starts with a job ad: a man needs someone to bring back his daughter's lost dolls. It sounds like easy money, but as the nights go on you start to see why nobody else took the job. The game was released on the Meta Horizon Store on December 28, 2021.
How it plays
Over five nights your task is to find each missing doll in the crawlspace and return it. Getting around relies on a crawling mechanic built for VR rather than ordinary walking, which keeps you low and close to whatever is down there with you.
- Every doll has its own kind of attack, and part of the challenge is working out how to stay safe from each one.
- Between nights you can relax at home and watch some TV.
- The developer warns that the game includes jumpscares.
It is a short, focused scare piece rather than a large adventure, built around one location and one goal repeated across the five nights with rising tension.
Comfort
It supports seated, standing and room-scale play and is played with Touch controllers. Keep the jumpscares in mind for younger or easily startled players, even with the 7+ age rating.
