Noclip VR is a free multiplayer horror game for Meta Quest where you and friends explore Backrooms-style levels, solve puzzles and avoid entities using proximity chat.
Noclip VR is a free multiplayer horror action and adventure game from SuperFPS. It draws on the Backrooms idea: slip out of reality in the wrong place and you end up in an endless maze of empty yellow rooms, buzzing lights and damp carpet, with something else moving around nearby. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on February 22, 2024.
How it plays
The game is split into many levels, each with its own puzzles and its own entities to avoid. Getting around uses a locomotion system the developer calls unique, and the store pitch invites you and your friends to escape the starting "frontrooms" together.
- Many distinct levels
- Puzzles to solve on each level
- Different entities to evade
- Proximity voice chat
The horror comes from the setting as much as the threats: long, repeating spaces where you can hear something before you see it.
Multiplayer
Noclip VR is built for groups. You invite friends and explore together, and proximity chat means your voice only carries to players near you, which makes splitting up a real risk. The store also lists single-player and co-op. An internet connection is required.
Comfort
Meta gives it a moderate comfort rating. Noclip VR supports sitting, standing and room-scale play with controllers.
