Overview
The bHaptics TactSuit Pro is a wireless haptic vest. It turns shots, hits and explosions in games into vibrations on your chest and back. bHaptics opened pre-orders on November 12, 2024 at $499, and shipping started on November 27. It replaced the TactSuit X40, which had 40 motors; the Pro has 32 motors but adds a chest controller. bHaptics raised its prices worldwide on August 27, 2025, so check its store for the current price.
Design and specs
The vest has 32 ERM vibration motors on the front and back. A control wheel on the chest turns it on, changes feedback intensity and pauses playback. It fits a body circumference of 26 to 50 inches (66 to 127 cm), or up to 58 inches (147 cm) with the optional extension strap. bHaptics lists the weight at 1.87 kg (4.1 lb). The 9,800 mAh battery is rated for 13.5 hours (bHaptics measured this with all motors at full intensity for one second in every ten). A full charge takes about 5 hours over USB-C. The box has a charging cable and a Bluetooth dongle, but no power adapter. You must not wash the parts that hold the motors, but the mesh lining comes out and can be washed.
Compatibility
bHaptics lists native support on Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 2. The vest is certified under Meta's Made for Meta program. On standalone headsets you connect it through the bHaptics VR Player app, which bHaptics also offers for PICO 4, PICO 4 Ultra, HTC VIVE XR Elite and VIVE Focus Vision. For PC VR, the vest pairs over Bluetooth with the bHaptics PC Player and works with SteamVR games. bHaptics does not name individual PC headsets. On PlayStation VR2, you connect supported games through the bHaptics Player phone app.
Game support
Games use the vest in two ways. Supported games have native or mod support, with effects matched to in-game events. Other games can use Audio-to-Haptics, which turns game sound into vibration. Audio-to-Haptics works in the PC Player, the Android Mobile Player and the VR Player. It also works over the wired 3.5 mm audio jack on Quest and PS VR2, but the wired connection gives stereo (2-channel) feedback only. At launch, UploadVR counted over 100 supported Quest games, over 200 PC VR games and nine PS VR2 games. Since 2025, bHaptics has also supported flat-screen PC games and sim racing through a SimHub plug-in.
Who it is for
The TactSuit Pro suits players of shooters, action games and rhythm games who want to feel impacts. It is an expensive add-on, so check bHaptics' supported games list for the games you play before you buy. bHaptics designs its products for users aged 13 and older, and offers a 45-day money-back guarantee, with the buyer paying for return shipping. If you want a lighter and cheaper vest, bHaptics also sells the TactSuit Air.
