bHaptics

The South Korean maker of wearable haptic vests, sleeves, gloves and face pads that add touch feedback to VR, PC and console games.

About bHaptics

bHaptics Inc. is a South Korean company founded in 2015 by Kiuk Gwak, its CEO, who started it during his doctoral research at KAIST. It designs and makes wearable haptic devices that turn game events and sound into vibration on the body. Its devices connect over Bluetooth and work with SteamVR, Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2 games. In 2025 it added support for flat-screen PC games, with a SimHub plug-in for sim racing and an Overwolf integration. bHaptics also runs its own software: the bHaptics Player apps for PC, Quest and mobile, a pattern design tool and developer SDKs.

bHaptics showed its first prototype in 2015 and released the Tactosy arm sleeve in 2016, followed by the Tactot vest kits. The TactSuit X40 and X16 vests arrived in November 2020, and the X40 won a CES 2021 Innovation Award. In April 2024 its TactSuit X40 and X16 vests joined Meta's Made for Meta program. The current range, launched in November 2024, includes the 32-motor TactSuit Pro, the lighter TactSuit Air and the TactSleeve for the arms. bHaptics also sells the TactVisor face pad, Tactosy for Feet and the TactGlove hand-tracking gloves, now in their third developer kit, the TactGlove DK3.
