WarDust Storm is an online military shooter for Meta Quest with 32v32 conquest battles, four infantry classes, vehicles and day and night maps.
WarDust Storm is an online military shooter from RaptorLab; its store text calls the game War Dust VR. Infantry and vehicles fight on large battlefields in 32-versus-32 matches, and the developer stresses balanced mechanics and fast action. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on December 13, 2024 and is still in early access.
How it plays
Matches follow a conquest format: your team wins ground by capturing control points and taking down enemy players. Before deploying you choose one of four classes:
- Assault
- Engineer
- Support
- Scout
An XP system unlocks more weapons, attachments, skins and ammunition types as you play. The store lists several vehicles, 15 kinds of guns, three support items you can spawn, two grenade types and more than 80 weapon skins. Maps switch between day and night, and alongside the official maps there are battlefields built by players.
Multiplayer
WarDust Storm is multiplayer only, with no single-player mode listed. Large matches put up to 64 players on one map, and the developer says the player community helps steer how the game grows, which also gives it a social angle.
Comfort
Meta rates WarDust Storm as intense. Expect full movement, vehicles and quick turns, so if you are new to VR shooters it is worth checking the in-game comfort settings before your first match. You can play sitting, standing or room-scale, with controllers.
