Touring Karts is a kart-racing sports game from Ivanovich Games that rethinks the genre for VR, with races full of chaos, action and surprises. It released on the Meta Horizon Store on May 20, 2021.
How it plays
You race across 22 tracks inspired by real circuits in any of 30 cars you can customize. Powers are central to every race, and you can combine them using mechanics the developer designed specifically for VR. More than 500 collectible prizes are spread across online and solo play, so there is always something to unlock.
- 22 tracks and 30 customizable cars
- Combinable powers built for VR
- More than 500 collectible prizes
- A Quickstart mode with every car and track open from the first minute
- Three camera views to choose from
Quickstart is the mode to pick if you just want to race with friends right away without unlocking anything first.
Multiplayer
Races can be played online against other people or on your own, and the collectible prizes can be earned in both. The store lists multiplayer alongside single-player.
Comfort
Touring Karts supports sitting and standing play with controllers. You can choose between three views: an immersive first-person view, a classic third-person view, and a view the developer says is designed to avoid dizziness. That last one is the one to try first if you are new to VR racing or sensitive to motion sickness in VR.
