Final Soccer is a football sports and simulation game made for virtual reality by Ivanovich Games. The developer says its animations were captured from the movements of professional players. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on July 11, 2022.
How it plays
Based on the modes described, much of the action is about stopping and handling shots. There are three main ways to play:
- Simulator Mode: the realistic option for football fans. Play a quick match or work through 150 levels against strong teams from around the world.
- Arcade Mode: a sillier take where catching and throwing balls triggers power-ups such as slow motion and giant gloves. It also offers quick games or 150 levels.
- VR vs. mobile: an online mode where friends take penalty shots at you from their smartphones using Final Kick, the developer's free mobile game, and watch you move in real time.
Space matters here. The developer says a movement assistance system lets you play in a room only 2 meters wide, but it recommends about 3 meters for a more comfortable game. Keep an eye on real-world obstacles while you dive for the ball.
Comfort
Meta rates Final Soccer comfortable for most people. It supports room-scale play only, using motion controllers.
