OceanCraft is an ocean survival adventure with crafting and simulation elements, developed by FlodLab and published by FlodLab UG (haftungsbeschränkt). You stay alive on the open sea aboard a vehicle you build yourself. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on March 10, 2021.

How it plays

Crafting and survival are the core. You gather what floats by, keep hunger and thirst in check and turn materials into a growing base.

  • Collect trash from the ocean and shoot balloons with a slingshot for materials
  • Build with pallets, walls, tables, chests and more
  • Grow and harvest plants
  • Fish with a rod, then cut and grill fish and vegetables
  • Craft useful and decorative tools and items
  • Keep several save games and vehicles

The description calls this an early access release with about three hours of gameplay so far and more content on the way, although the store data does not flag it as early access.

Multiplayer

You can play alone or with friends. Games can be private or open to other players, there is in-game voice chat, and the developer says multiplayer is cross-platform. An internet connection is required.

Comfort

OceanCraft supports sitting, standing and room-scale play with controllers.
