FloatingWorld is an ocean survival and building simulation from MiaoJingGames, published by MiYa Games. Each day you need to find food and materials, put together a shelter and stay alive at sea. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on July 14, 2022, and is in early access.

How it plays

Alongside survival there are many islands to visit, a storyline and puzzles, which add an adventure thread to the building.

• Building: a building gun extends your floating base and adds houses, roofs and eaves.
• Sailing: fit your raft with sails, then add engines and rudders for faster, better-controlled travel.
• Synthesizer: a machine that can craft almost anything and recycle resources.
• Backpack: an inventory designed for VR that you use like a real bag.
• Farming: fish and grill your catch, grow plants in pots and even keep pigs on the raft.
• Upgrades: later on you can build an upgrader, a mining machine and a teleporter.

Game modes include Easy, Normal, Hard, Peaceful and Creative.

Comfort

Meta rates it as comfortable for most people. It supports seated and standing play and is played with Touch controllers.
