Hex VR

Hex VR is a social party game from Golden Gear Studios. It collects several multiplayer minigames that all share one idea: playing in zero gravity. The game came out on the Meta Horizon Store on March 29, 2024, and the store files it under the party game genre.

How it plays

Rather than one long campaign, Hex VR is built as a collection of short minigames. Instead of standing on a floor, you move around in a weightless space, which changes how you push off, reach for things and position yourself against other players. The developer says the goal is a zero-gravity experience that feels different from other VR games.

The store page describes the app as still in development and does not list the individual minigames or how many there are. Because of that, it is best to think of Hex VR as a project that is still growing, and the lineup of games may change over time.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer is the only interaction mode listed, so Hex VR is meant to be played with other people. You can join online games with friends or create your own private rooms for a specific group. No single-player mode is mentioned.

Comfort

Meta has not given Hex VR a comfort rating. Floating movement can be harder on some players than standing still, so if you are sensitive to motion sickness in VR, try short sessions first. It supports standing and room-scale play with controllers; seated play is not listed.
