Bang Bang Slice

Bang Bang Slice is an action game published by Z Axis Entertainment that pays tribute to 1980s action movies. You shoot and slash your way through enemies in a series of combat scenarios. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on July 22, 2022. The store page currently says the project is "in hibernation" and points players to a developer post for details.

How it plays

The movement system is the hook. You can only move by defeating an enemy, catching their weapon as it flies through the air and taking their spot. That makes the order in which you take enemies out as important as your reflexes, because a poor sequence can leave you stranded with no one left in reach.

• More than 40 weapons, including blades, grenades, pistols, SMGs and shotguns.
• 40 levels so far, each with its own goal, such as assassinating a VIP or escaping a room.
• Most levels can be completed in several different ways.
• Enemies carry random weapons, so each run plays out a little differently.

Levels are meant to be hard at first. You improve by learning where enemies stand and how they behave, then replaying to raise your score.

Comfort

It supports seated, standing and room-scale play and is played with Touch controllers.
