Pickup Basketball VR is a multiplayer basketball game for Meta Quest with 1v1, 2v2, Horse and 3-point contests for up to 4 players online.
Pickup Basketball VR is a multiplayer basketball sports simulation developed by Revog Games and published by Ron Revog. It lets up to four players meet on a court for pickup games against friends or players from around the world. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on July 16, 2021.
How it plays
The controls aim to recreate the feel of real basketball, with dribbling, shooting and passing all done by hand. You can play in several modes:
- 1v1
- 2v2
- Horse
- 3-point contest
Games take place on a choice of courts, including a playground, a gym and a skyrise court, with more options listed. You can also customize your avatar, picking a face, skin tone, hair, jersey and other accessories.
Multiplayer
Online multiplayer lets you test your skills in full pickup games, either on the same team as your friends or against them. The store lists single-user, multiplayer and co-op modes. Internet is listed as not required, which covers offline play; online games need a connection.
Comfort
Meta has not given Pickup Basketball VR a comfort rating. It supports sitting, standing and room-scale play with controllers. Standing gives you the most natural shooting motion, so clear some space before you play.
