Paintball Arena VR is a tactical, team-based shooter from 5thScape that brings the feel of real paintball into virtual arenas. It mixes fast action with a competitive sports side and is built both for casual fun and for players who want to climb a ranking. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on September 2, 2025, and is in early access.

How it plays

Shooting is motion-based, so you aim with your hands, and combat physics are meant to feel close to the real sport. Before a match, you start in the Global Lobby, a social space where players from around the world can meet, talk, challenge each other, watch live games as spectators or just hang out with friends.

• Ranked Match: five rounds with no respawns, where teamwork, communication and tactics decide the winner.
• Unranked Match: three faster rounds with respawns, good for warming up or trying new ideas without touching your rank.
• Capture the Flag: grab the other team's flag while protecting your own.
• Custom Lobbies: bring in friends and choose the rules yourself for private tournaments, practice or community nights.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer is the heart of the game, with team matches and a lobby for meeting other players. Single-player is also listed on the store, and an internet connection is required.

Comfort

Meta rates it as intense, which is common for fast shooters with free movement. If you are prone to motion sickness in VR, start with shorter sessions. It supports sitting, standing and room-scale play with controllers.
