Boneless is a free VR physics sandbox where you fight enemies with guns, swords and your fists across three maps with day and night versions.
Boneless is a free physics sandbox action shooter from XRS Interactive. The developer calls it an experimental project made to test how far physics can be pushed in VR, with a mix of maps, weapons and enemy types to try out. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on June 14, 2024.
How it plays
You can fight enemies at range, up close with your hands and swords, or switch between the two in the same fight. The weapons listed on the store page include:
- Pistol, MP5, rifle and heavy rifle, each with attachments
- Revolver
- Shotgun
- UZI
Rifles and other long guns are held with both hands, and some come with scopes. There are three maps, Arena, Court and City, and each one has a day and a night version.
An external camera is built in, so you can record video of your fights. That suits the sandbox focus: there is no story to follow, just a set of spaces and tools to experiment with.
Comfort
Meta gives it a moderate comfort rating, so it suits some players more than others. It supports standing play and is played with Touch controllers.
