Battle Talent is a physics-based roguelite VR combat game for Meta Quest with melee, magic and ranged fighting, co-op for up to 4 and 2,000+ mods.
Battle Talent is a physics-based roguelite action game from Cydream, set in a medieval fantasy world. You fight with blades, spells and ranged weapons, shape your own combat style through perks, and push through dungeons alone or with friends. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since June 1, 2023.
How it plays
Combat is hack-and-slash with real physics behind each hit. You mix melee, magic and ranged attacks against more than 80 enemy variants with different movesets, plus bosses. The dungeons are large and seamless, span several landscapes and regenerate on each run. Between fights you spend talent points and find treasure, drawing on more than 100 weapons and over 60 perks.
There are five game modes:
- Adventure and Challenge for the roguelite runs.
- Sandbox, with a scene editor and a built-in mod menu offering more than 2,000 mods.
- Mixed reality on Quest 3, which also supports multiplayer.
- Multiplayer for 2 to 4 players.
Multiplayer
Online co-op supports 2 to 4 players with built-in voice chat and cross-play, and the developer says friends can chain attacks into combos together.
Comfort
Meta gives Battle Talent a moderate comfort rating. It supports sitting, standing or room-scale play, and you can use controllers or hand tracking.
