A free stage simulator for Quest where you perform for a virtual crowd and sing along to music and karaoke tracks loaded from the web.
OnStage - Simulator is a free app for music and media from COMPOS3D. It puts you on your own virtual stage in front of a computer-controlled audience that you can interact with. The developer made it for artists who miss playing to a crowd and for anyone who needs cheering up. It was first listed on SideQuest in April 2020.
What you can do
You step onto the stage and play to the NPC audience. A Music and Karaoke update added access to a large catalog of songs and karaoke tracks (the developer speaks of millions of songs and thousands of karaoke tracks), along with controls for video playback.
- A personal virtual venue with an NPC crowd
- Music and karaoke tracks loaded from external websites
- Video playback controls
The songs and karaoke tracks come from outside websites, and the developer notes they are not responsible for that content; feedback on specific tracks should go to the provider of that track. Planned next steps include better performance and the option to use your own material, such as sheet music and backing tracks. The developer also asks for feedback on SideQuest to improve the experience.
