Fly Villa: AI World Travel & Creation is a travel and exploration and social app from realvr.ai, published by RealVR. It combines sightseeing over Google Earth with shared 3D spaces called Villas, an AI assistant and tools for building your own worlds. It has been available on the Meta Horizon Store since June 10, 2021.
What you can do
- Virtual travel: fly anywhere on Google Earth in 3D on your own or with a group, with a minimap and 360-degree panoramas. The developer suggests it for trip planning, bucket lists and looking at property.
- Villas: 3D channels with private conference rooms and large outdoor areas. You can place objects from in-app libraries or upload your own files (obj, fbx, gltf, glb, jpeg, png, mp3) through your web account.
- AI assistant: subscribers get long AI conversations for practicing languages, learning skills, asking questions and getting tech support.
- AI creation: generate art, 3D objects, soundtracks, images and effects to build worlds without writing code.
- Avatars: make as many full-body avatars as you want.
- Galactica: an in-app game about owning, developing or selling virtual land for Villa coins.
Most features sit behind a monthly or annual subscription with a 7-day free trial. The developer says first-time annual subscribers get a discount plus coins and AI credits.
Multiplayer
You can meet people in public spaces or keep sessions private, and as a world's admin you decide who can enter. Subscribers can start or join a Zoom call from inside VR, and people without a headset can join through a Zoom link, which makes mixed groups possible. The developer also mentions broadcasting to thousands of users at once.
Comfort
Meta rates Fly Villa comfortable for most people. It supports sitting, standing and room-scale play with controllers.
