ChallengeBox Fitness is a fitness and health app from ChallengeBox that mixes workouts with competition. Its pitch is simple: fitness that feels like a game. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on August 22, 2022.
What you can do
You can follow a set workout or turn your session into a head-to-head battle. The app offers five workout modes:
- Basic Warmup
- Upper Body Blast
- Lower Body Burner
- High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
- Full Body Challenge
Workouts take place in themed settings, including a Club Scene and a Zombie Cats theme. The developer describes the app as free to play, and it runs an official Discord community.
Multiplayer
Real-time PvP battles are the headline feature. You can challenge friends, take on other players online or fight against an AI opponent. Voice chat lets you talk with live players, and weekly leaderboards rank everyone's results. A single-user mode is also listed.
Comfort
Meta rates ChallengeBox Fitness as moderate in comfort. It is played standing or in room-scale with controllers, and these are active workouts, so make sure you have enough space and check the comfort settings if you need them.
