VR Destruction is a free simulation sandbox from DirtyFred. The premise fits in one line: you step inside a house and wreck any furniture that catches your eye. It was first listed on SideQuest in May 2022.
How it plays
The listing does not describe a story, goals or scoring. The appeal is pure physics play: every piece of furniture in the interior can be broken apart, and you decide how. Your hands are physics-driven, so they push against and collide with objects instead of passing through them, and some weapons can be held with both hands for heavier swings.
- Furniture that can be completely destroyed
- Physics-based hands
- Two-handed weapon interactions
- Light switches you can turn on and off
It is best seen as a small stress-relief toy or physics showcase rather than a full game with levels and progression. If you want a few minutes of smashing things without consequences, that is exactly what it offers.
Comfort
SideQuest gives VR Destruction a comfortable rating. It is not listed as a seated experience, and swinging weapons around is safer with some clear space around you.
