A slow, tense survival shooter set in the anomaly-filled Pechorsk zone: take missions, scavenge, maintain modular weapons and get back to base alive, alone or in co-op.
Into the Radius 2 is a survival shooter from CM Games, set in the anomaly-filled Pechorsk zone. It entered early access on SteamVR in July 2024 and left it on April 23, 2026. The full version reached the Meta Horizon Store on August 27, 2026, after a Quest early access period that began in May 2025, and the PlayStation Store on October 8, 2026, two weeks later than planned because of certification.
How it plays
Like the first game, it is slow and methodical. From your base at UNPSC Facility 21 you head out on missions to find objects or complete tasks, scavenge for gear and money, and try to get back intact. The zone is full of anomalies that hurt you and enemies such as Mimics that use cover, charging Fragments, invisible Phantoms and fast Creeps. Weapons are modular: you swap barrels, stocks, optics, grips and magazines, and each part wears and gets dirty separately, so maintenance matters. Loadouts are physical too, with chest rigs, vests, backpacks, pouches and holsters you place yourself.
The 1.0 release added a voiced story campaign with 10 main missions and more than 170 side missions, five security levels across three main locations and two smaller ones, more than 50 guns across 25 types, a hunger system, difficulty settings and an Iron Man mode. Co-op is available on PC VR and Quest, with two players on Quest. On PS VR2 the game launched single-player, with a free two-player co-op update planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
Comfort
Meta rates it moderate. There is no teleport option: movement is smooth, with snap, smooth or hybrid turning. It can be played seated or standing, and on PS VR2 also in room scale.
What to know before buying
- It costs $39.99 on Steam, the Meta Horizon Store and the PlayStation Store. Each store is a separate purchase, and Meta lists it without cross-buy.
- On Quest it needs Quest 3 or Quest 3S; Quest 2 is not supported. On PlayStation it needs PS VR2 and Sense controllers, and it uses eye-tracked foveated rendering, headset haptics and adaptive triggers.
- It uses motion controllers. It is rated PEGI 16 and ESRB Teen.
- Voice and text are in English only.
- Store listings now credit the game to CM Immersive, the company's VR label.
