CoasterMania

CoasterMania is a mixed reality building simulation and puzzle game from 4th Wall Breakers. You lay roller coaster track over your furniture, along your walls and around the rest of your real space, then ride what you built from the front seat. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on December 5, 2024.

How it plays

Building is done directly in your room with hand tracking or controllers. Once a track is finished you shrink to coaster size and ride it in first person, with your own room turned into a giant theme park around you.

• Gadgets and physics: fire cars from cannons, send them through portals, strap on rocket boosters, sculpt terrain and decorate your park.
• Challenges: more than 50 building challenges across Medieval, Western, Atlantis and Sci-Fi worlds.
• Unlocks: new cosmetics earned as you complete challenges.

The challenges give the sandbox a puzzle structure, while free building lets you make whatever layout your room allows.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer is asynchronous: you can upload your best coasters for the community and try rides built by other players, but you do not build together in real time.

Comfort

Meta gives CoasterMania a moderate comfort rating, which makes sense once you start riding loops and drops. You can play sitting, standing or room-scale. If coaster rides bother you, see our guide to motion sickness in VR.
