Apple Vision Pro Dual Knit Band
by Apple
Apple's 3D-knitted two-strap head band with a tungsten counterweight and Fit Dial. Included with Apple Vision Pro (M5), sold separately for $99, and fits the original model.
Overview
The Apple Vision Pro Dual Knit Band is the head band that ships with the Apple Vision Pro (M5), and Apple sells it on its own for $99 in the US. Apple announced it on October 15, 2025, alongside the M5 headset, which went on sale on October 22, 2025. Apple said the band is compatible with the previous-generation Apple Vision Pro, so owners of the original model can buy it as an upgrade. The original headset shipped with the Solo Knit Band and the Dual Loop Band instead.
Design and fit
The upper and lower straps are 3D-knitted as a single piece. Apple says this creates a dual-rib structure that adds cushioning, breathability and stretch. The lower strap has flexible fabric ribs with tungsten inserts that act as a counterweight to the front of the headset. A dual-function Fit Dial adjusts each strap independently. The band attaches to the headset's Audio Straps with a secure latch, and release tabs let you detach it quickly. Apple quotes the M5 headset at 750 to 800 grams including the Light Seal and the counterbalanced Dual Knit Band, but it does not list the band's own weight.
Sizes
The band comes in small, medium and large sizes, each sold for $99. Apple says customers can find the right size with the Apple Store app for iPhone. Each size is a separate product, so check the size before ordering.
Compatibility
Apple's store page lists the Dual Knit Band as compatible with Apple Vision Pro, Apple Vision Pro (M2) and Apple Vision Pro (M5). It does not fit other headsets. Apple also still sells the single-strap Solo Knit Band separately for $99, for buyers who prefer the original design. The Dual Loop Band that came with the first model is not listed on Apple's US accessory store today.
Who it is for
The band suits owners of the original M2 Vision Pro who want the counterweighted, two-strap fit of the newer model for longer sessions. M5 owners already get one in the box, so a second band mainly makes sense for a different size or a shared headset.
