Spymaster Leaves Early Access on Quest and Steam With Four Final Story Missions

Spymaster, the latest game from A Fisherman's Tale developer Innerspace, has left early access on Quest and Steam, according to UploadVR. The full release arrived on October 16 after five months in early access and adds four new missions that conclude the story campaign.

How it plays

Players command three agents, each with their own skills and weapons, through time-critical missions where every agent has to reach the objective. A wrist-mounted device called the C.A.S.S.E.T.T.E. lets players rewind time and replay parts of a mission from either agent's viewpoint, so they can fix mistakes, complete secondary objectives or fine-tune a run. UploadVR says the mechanic encourages replaying missions "without any anxiety-inducing tension."

The Meta Horizon Store listing describes missions that range from defusing bombs to poisoning villains and crossing Arctic ice, with running, jumping, climbing, sliding, ziplining and shooting along the way. The story has players infiltrating the company Protocore and its CEO, PROTUS, on behalf of NODE, which the game calls the world's last line of defense.

Price and availability

Spymaster costs $19.99 on the Meta Horizon Store, where it supports Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S; Quest 2 is not listed as supported. It is also available on PC VR through Steam for SteamVR headsets. The Quest listing shows May 7, 2026 as the game's original early access release date, and Innerspace has published a full launch trailer on its YouTube channel.

What it means for players

With the campaign now complete, players who were waiting for a finished game can jump in. UploadVR's early access review called the game equal parts charming and thrilling, and the outlet says it will publish a final review once it has played through the new missions.
