GOLF+

GOLF+ is a golf simulation and sports game from Golf Scope Inc., published by GolfScope Inc., and the store bills it as the PGA TOUR's official VR golf game. You play full rounds on real-world courses, work on your swing and putting, and join friends or other players online. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since May 28, 2020.

How it plays

Three courses come free, and more than 50 real-world destinations can be bought, among them Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass and St Andrews' Old Course. Clubs come from real brands such as TaylorMade, Callaway and PXG, and a practice facility lets you tune your clubs before a round.

• Immersive Putting: on Quest 3 and 3S the headset lays a putting green over your room using mixed reality, so you putt with a real putter and ball. Each putt is measured, showing your make percentage and strokes gained at each distance, compared with scratch golfers and tour players.
• Stats: shot and putt data, strokes gained, a handicap system and a swing analyzer.
• Modes: match play, scramble, weekly challenges and a 1v1 Battle Mode.
• GOLF+ TOUR: a global ranked competition in both VR and Immersive Putting.

Multiplayer

GOLF+ has a strong social side: you can play with friends or join public rounds with golfers from around the world. Players can bet in-game currency on results; the developer stresses that this currency cannot be transferred, exported or exchanged for anything of real-world value.

Comfort

Meta rates GOLF+ as comfortable for most people. It supports standing or room-scale play, and you can use controllers or hand tracking.
