Exorcism of the Legion (Last Rites) is an action horror game from LegionVR, LLC, published by Fun Train, Inc.. You learn the trade of the exorcist and follow a set of linked stories toward a final showdown with your own deepest fears. The game now carries a new name, and the developer says it has been updated for Quest 3 with tuning for Quest 2. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since May 21, 2019.
How it plays
The game mixes action, mystery and puzzle solving with horror. You face several kinds of demonic entities, use exorcism tools, search for hidden artifacts and make your way through dark, atmospheric locations.
- Five chapters of connected stories.
- An epilogue update that extends the ending, unlocked only after you finish all five chapters.
- Exorcism tools, hidden artifacts and several types of demon.
The developer pitches it as one of the most frightening games in VR, so expect a slow, oppressive build-up rather than a light scare.
Comfort
Meta rates Exorcism of the Legion as comfortable for most people. It supports standing and room-scale play with controllers. The comfort rating covers movement, not fear, and the horror is meant to be heavy.
