Steam Next Fest is Valve's recurring online festival of upcoming games. During the festival, players can download free demos, watch developer livestreams, chat with developers and learn about games that have not yet launched. The February 2027 edition runs from February 22, 2027 at 10:00 AM PST to March 1, 2027 at 10:00 AM PST, according to Valve's Steamworks event page as reported by Steam Page Analyzer, with the dates also confirmed in Valve's first-half 2027 schedule reported by Notebookcheck and GamingOnLinux.
Published milestones for participating developers include:
- Registration closes January 10, 2027.
- Demos must be submitted by January 25, 2027 to be considered for the Press Preview.
- The Press Preview for media and content creators begins February 11, 2027.
VR games do take part in Next Fest. For example, Fast Travel Games offered a PAYDAY: Aces High demo during the October 2026 edition ahead of its November launch. The list of participating games for February 2027 will be visible on Steam when the festival opens.
Participation is free for players with a Steam account; demos are played through the Steam client.
