AFFECTED: The Manor - Complete Edition is an action horror game from Fallen Planet Studios. It is a guided haunted house walk built purely for scares, with simple controls and nothing to solve: there are no keys to find and no objectives to complete. The developer pitches it at VR newcomers as well as experienced players, and as something to show friends and family. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since December 12, 2019.
How it plays
You walk through The Manor while the house throws scares at you. The Complete Edition bundles the original walkthrough with two extra modes:
- The Gauntlet: a timed run through The Manor where you try to reach the end as fast as possible without screaming, with global leaderboards.
- The Darkness: the rooms are pitch black and a flickering candle is your only light.
This edition also adds achievements, accessibility and inclusivity options, and support for more languages.
Comfort
Meta rates AFFECTED: The Manor as intense. That means it may not suit people who are prone to motion sickness. It is played standing, with controllers.
