Hyperlane Highway Brings Lean-Based Combat to PC VR

Hyperlane Highway VR Hoverboard Roguelite Sets November 10 Early Access Release on Steam is a VR-only single-player roguelite from Ryality Studio. The game combines hoverboard movement, dual-wielded blaster combat and sponsor-based enhancement cards. Steam Early Access is planned for November 10, 2026, and a free demo is available now.

Lean through robot-filled traffic

Hyperlane Highway places players on a hoverboard moving through traffic occupied by robots. Leaning left or right changes lanes. Pitching forward or back changes height, while reaching forward or pulling back adjusts speed.

Whole-body movement is optional. The game also supports head tilt, controller gestures, crouch and thumbstick controls. Players can mix input methods and adjust comfort settings. The Steam listing describes steering and dodging through body movement without requiring a thumbstick.

Combat uses blasters in both hands. Riders must avoid traffic while fighting robots, combining movement and shooting during each run.

Sponsor cards define each run

Each run begins with a sponsor deal. Players collect enhancement cards that can change how weapons and abilities work. The Steam listing names nine rival sponsors and more than 90 enhancement cards.

Pit stops allow players to buy, sell or recycle cards as traffic becomes more dangerous. The setting presents the action as televised entertainment. Mega-corporations sponsor riders to clear the hyperlanes, while stronger performances can raise hype, speed and rewards. Within this satirical premise, every death is monetized.

The demo includes more than 50 cards, more than 20 enemies and variants, two bosses and four stages. Progression also includes challenges and cosmetic unlocks.

Demo, hardware and Early Access plans

Hyperlane Highway is listed as VR-only on Steam. Target devices include Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest Pro and PC VR headsets using SteamVR and OpenXR. Quest owners should check their PC streaming setup and Steam’s compatibility information before playing.

Steam lists the game as not yet available and gives November 10, 2026 as its planned release date. Ryality Studio expects Early Access to last around eight to twelve months. The studio plans to add more riders, bosses and environments, but timing and final content can change.

MIXED reported on November 5, 2026 that the free Steam demo was available ahead of launch. Its report highlighted the lean-based controls, robot combat, sponsor deals, card system, stages, enemies and bosses included in the current demo.
