Spatial Ops is a mixed reality shooter from Resolution Games that uses your real surroundings as the battlefield. Virtual enemies, portals and arenas are placed into your room, and friends in the same space can join in. The store also files it under action and simulation. It launched on the Meta Horizon Store on November 14, 2024.
How it plays
- Campaign: a solo story where portals open inside your home and you hold off invaders while uncovering who is behind them.
- Modes: Free-for-All, Team Deathmatch, Co-op Survival, Capture the Flag and Domination.
- Loadouts: unlock new weapons and customize your character's gear.
- Haptics: bHaptics gear is supported, so you can feel incoming fire, item use and explosions.

Multiplayer
Co-located matches support up to eight players in the same physical location. You map out your real-world space to create the play area, can share that map with others, and then play competitive or team-based rounds in the style of laser tag.
Comfort
Meta rates it as comfortable for most people. It supports standing and room-scale play and is played with Touch controllers. Because you move around a real room, clear away obstacles before you play.
