Audio Trip is a dance rhythm and action game from Kinemotik Studios, published by Impact Inked. You move your whole body to music, catching gems, following ribbons, hitting drums and ducking barriers, with Cardio levels for a harder workout. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since May 7, 2020.
How it plays
The base game has 32 songs spread over 120 levels, with licensed tracks from artists including Skrillex, Zedd, deadmau5, Lady Gaga, Tiësto and Psy. Each song has its own hand-built environment, and you can pick a full or short version of every track.
- Choreographer, an in-VR level editor (the same tool the developers use) for making your own routines and adding your own songs.
- A campaign mode with achievements, modifiers and badges you can view in the Dance Dojo.
- Gameplay options including Comfort, Dancer and No Fail modes, plus custom colors.
- Global leaderboards and a local Party Mode leaderboard for challenging friends.
- A short tutorial for first-time players.
The developer says the game is still supported with updates, and extra songs are sold as DLC. It is a single-player game that also runs on the original Meta Quest.
Comfort
Meta rates it comfortable for most people. It is played standing or room-scale with controllers, and you will be moving a lot, so clear plenty of space around you.
