Photorealistic virtual travel app with 58 scanned real-world locations you can walk around in, from the Dolomites to Antelope Canyon, alone or with friends, on Quest, Steam, PICO and Android XR.
BRINK Traveler is a virtual travel app from the small studio BRINK XR, and one of the best-known titles in the Travel & Exploration category. It launched on Quest and Steam on September 9, 2021, and has since grown through free updates.
What it does
Each destination is a real place captured with photogrammetry and LiDAR scans, then rebuilt as a detailed 3D scene. Because the scenes are true 3D rather than 360-degree photos, you can lean in and walk around a few meters of room-scale space at each spot. The library now counts 58 environments, including the Dolomites, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon and Iceland's Landmannalaugar.
A virtual guide with an AI travel assistant gives background on each place, and a photo and selfie mode lets you save shots. Real night skies with stars and auroras, spatial audio and the option to open 2D apps such as a browser or video player inside a scene round out the package. Locations can be downloaded or deleted one by one, at about 500 MB each.
Multiplayer
You can travel solo or in public or private groups with friends and family, and the Steam page lists cross-platform multiplayer.
Comfort
The Meta Horizon Store rates it Comfortable, and it supports sitting, standing and room-scale play. An October 2025 update added hand tracking, along with an accessibility mode that keeps everything on the controllers.
