A barber simulation game where you cut customers' hair, buy tools and furniture, and grow your shop toward a five-star rating.
Virtual Barbershop is a simulation game from PoisonIce Studios that puts you behind the chair as a barber. You run the shop, look after customers and work toward the in-game title of Best Barber of the Year. It is distributed through SideQuest, where it was first listed in May 2022.
How it plays
Each customer wants a haircut, and your job is to deliver good cuts without keeping people waiting. Cleaner and faster work earns more money and pushes you up a leaderboard. Happy customers also feed a score on Advisor, an in-game review app, and reaching five stars there is the main goal.
Shop management sits on top of the cutting:
- Buying tools: an in-game terminal sells equipment such as electric razors and scissors, so you have to budget your earnings.
- Decorating: new furniture and extra room types change how the shop looks, which also helps your Advisor rating.
- Improving: practice makes your cuts neater and quicker, which is how you climb the leaderboard and earn more per customer.
The loop is a familiar one for job simulators: serve, earn, reinvest, and slowly turn a basic shop into a better one.
