Dungeon Maker is a free mixed reality sandbox that turns your room into a dungeon you build by hand or generate, full of traps, enemies, quests and treasure.
Dungeon Maker is a free simulation and creativity game from Field Of Vision. It is a mixed reality sandbox: you build dungeons inside your own home and then play through them. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since April 16, 2022.
How it plays
You can place every piece yourself or let the game build dungeons for you. The generator, which the developer still labels beta, starts from the room setup saved on your Quest, so each layout fits the space you actually have, and you can create as many new dungeons as you like.
- Traps such as deadly pits and swinging axes.
- Keys, doors, plot items and treasure for setting up quests.
- Skeletons and other enemies to fight.
- A goal of getting deep enough into the dungeon to recover the treasure.
The developer calls Dungeon Maker a work in progress that receives regular updates and fixes, and collects feedback and ideas through its Discord. It is a single-player game.
Comfort
Meta rates Dungeon Maker comfortable for most people. It supports room-scale play with controllers. Because the dungeon is laid over your real room, clear the floor before you start.
