Overview

The Qwen Glasses N1 are the standard model of Alibaba's N1 series of AI glasses, sold alongside the more expensive Qwen Glasses N1 Pro. Alibaba previewed the series at its Apsara Conference in Hangzhou on September 22, 2026, opened pre-orders the same day, and started selling the glasses in China on October 13. The N1 cost 2,899 yuan (about $435) for the standard set, or 3,297 yuan for a long-battery set with a spare battery and a battery-swap case. Chinese national subsidies brought the launch prices down to 2,218 and 2,446 yuan. Some English-language reports give 2,999 yuan. The glasses are sold in China only.

Design

The N1 look like ordinary black glasses with a square-round frame. They have no display: the Qwen assistant talks to you through speakers in the arms. Alibaba has not published the weight.

Camera

The camera is the N1's main feature, and it is the same as on the N1 Pro: a 50MP sensor that records 4K video, with multi-level stabilization, live photos, automatic framing and image enhancement. Alibaba says the sensor collects about 50% more light than before, using 4-in-1 pixel binning to 1.224 µm pixels for better low-light shots.

Audio, chips and battery

Each arm has a large-diaphragm speaker tuned to reduce how much sound leaks to people nearby, and five microphones plus a bone-conduction sensor pick up your voice. The glasses use three chips: a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1, a BES2800 audio chip and a low-power sensing chip. Two batteries sit in the arms and can be swapped. Alibaba rates the N1 at 9 hours of mixed use, an hour more than the N1 Pro.

Software

The glasses run Alibaba's Qwen AI assistant. Alibaba lists an AI photo collection, proactive travel reminders, automatic recording of meetings and conversations you ask it to capture, and reminders to stand up or rest your neck.

N1 or N1 Pro

The N1 leave out the N1 Pro's eye tracking, so you cannot look at something and ask about it, and you cannot pay with an iris scan through Alipay. They also lack the Pro's heart rate, blood oxygen and temperature sensors. In exchange they cost 500 yuan less and last an hour longer. Camera, audio, chips and swappable batteries are the same.

Who it is for

The N1 suit buyers in China who mainly want camera glasses with a voice assistant and good battery life. Buyers who want gaze-aware questions, iris payment or health tracking should look at the N1 Pro. Like the Pro, the N1 are not sold outside China.
