PICO Store

What it is

The PICO Store is the built-in app store on headsets from PICO, the VR company owned by ByteDance. It sells standalone VR games and apps for PICO OS, including many cross-platform VR titles, fitness and video apps, and mixed reality experiences that use the color passthrough of newer headsets. The catalog and storefront vary by region, because PICO runs separate services for China and for its international markets.

Headsets that use it

The current headset on the store is the PICO 4 Ultra, sold in Europe and Asia. Earlier PICO headsets, such as the PICO 4, use the same store.

Buying and installing

You browse and buy in the store on the headset or in the PICO mobile app, using your PICO account, and purchases download to the headset. PICO runs regular sales and free promotions, and some titles support body tracking with PICO Motion Trackers.

Notable traits

For games that are not on the PICO Store, PICO headsets can play PC VR through PICO Connect, PICO's streaming software, which links the headset to SteamVR over a USB cable or Wi-Fi. The built-in browser also runs WebXR content. The PICO Store library is smaller than the Meta Horizon Store, so it is worth checking that the games you want are available before choosing a headset.
