The Key is a travel and exploration and media experience from Lucid Dreams Productions, built as a short interactive story rather than a game. You follow Anna, who cannot recall her past but keeps seeing a mysterious key in her dreams, and you try to work out what it means without giving up too much along the way. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since April 16, 2020.
What you can do
The studio describes the piece as magical realism. You travel through a series of dreams, take on small challenges and make hard choices, and the story builds toward a surprising reveal at the end. Actor Alia Shawkat narrates. The developer stresses that this is not a video game, so there is no score or failure state to worry about; the idea is to relax and let the story lead you.
