LIMINAL: Relax. Unwind. Engage. Explore. is a fitness and health app with a travel and exploration side from Liminal VR. It collects more than 155 short experiences aimed at changing how you feel, from meditation and sleep to awe-inspiring scenes and casual games. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since April 7, 2022.
What you can do
The content is split into seven categories built around goals like awe, relief, focus and facing fears. The store page highlights:
- Relief: sessions for easing anxiety, meditating and breathing, plus sleep content you can use lying down with a pillow.
- Hypnosis: sessions meant to take your mind off pain and lower stress.
- Awe Arena: includes an experience called Samsara.
- Fear Arena: controlled scares for people who enjoy a jolt.
- Interactive content: casual games and other pieces; Cyberpunch and Iris are suggested starting points.
The developer says Liminal was designed with neuroscientists and psychologists. You can use a free selection that rotates every week, or subscribe for unlimited access to the full library.
Comfort
Meta rates Liminal comfortable for most people. It supports sitting, standing and room-scale use with controllers. Most sessions are calm, but the Fear Arena is designed to startle, so skip it if you want a purely relaxing visit.
