Creed: Rise to Glory

Creed: Rise to Glory is a sports boxing game from Survios, based on the Creed and Rocky films. It launched on September 25, 2018, for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, and came to Oculus Quest on May 21, 2019. The expanded Championship Edition followed on April 4, 2023, on PlayStation VR2 and Quest.

How it plays

You play Adonis Creed. In the story mode you train under Rocky Balboa and work through a boxing career, while Freeplay lets you pick the arena and opponent for custom bouts against figures such as Rocky, Ivan and Viktor Drago. Punches are thrown with your own arms, and Survios's Phantom Melee technology mimics the effects of throwing and taking hits, so landing blows depends on real effort and timing. A calorie tracker with custom goals lets you use it as a workout.

The Championship Edition adds characters, costumes and arenas from Creed III, quality-of-life changes and cross-platform PvP between Quest and PS VR2. A free update in November 2023 added Tommy "The Machine" Gunn from Rocky V and experimental hand tracking on Quest.

Comfort

Meta lists the game as comfortable. You stay in place in the ring, and it can be played seated, standing or in room scale, though standing with some space around you suits the punching best.
