Virtual Desktop, Inc.
Maker of Virtual Desktop, the app created by Guy Godin that streams a computer desktop and PC VR games to standalone headsets over Wi-Fi.
Virtual Desktop, Inc. develops and publishes Virtual Desktop, an app created by developer Guy Godin. It first launched on Steam in March 2016 as a way to see a Windows desktop inside a PC VR headset, and it came to the original Oculus Quest at that headset's launch in May 2019.
On standalone headsets, Virtual Desktop streams a Windows or macOS desktop and, from a Windows PC, PC VR games over Wi-Fi. Its PC VR streaming feature was at first blocked from the Quest store and was approved in February 2021.
The app has since expanded to PICO, HTC VIVE headsets through Viveport, and Android XR devices such as the Samsung Galaxy XR.
